On Using Zillow

Most people feel alone in their search for a house. Because of this, most people, myself included, start out looking at houses on Zillow. I think Zillow is a great starting place to get an idea of what is available in your price range in the area you want to be in. However, I have seen all too often, where Zillow has been outdated and has wrong information on it. I honestly thought Real Estate Agents just said that to get people to start working with an agent so they could make money. I have seen first-hand, in my very first week as a Real Estate Agent, two times where home buyers who were looking on Zillow called in to ask about a house that showed as available on Zillow, but the house was already under contract on the MLS. I also saw another instance where Zillow didn’t list the loan types available for what the home buyer could use. He wanted to look at a house that was listed as Conventional loans or cash sales, and he was only pre-approved for a FHA loan.

Everyone deserves to be in a home they love, and to feel like they got a great deal on it. This is the goal of all Real Estate Agents, and I have the knowledge, tools, and a simple process to get you from just looking on Zillow to unlocking the front door to your dream home! The Elephant In The Room

Let’s start with the elephant in the room – The stigma of the pushy salesperson. Do you automatically think all sales people are pushy, don’t have your best interests in mind, and just want to make a sale and move on? It’s okay if you do. I’m guilty of this myself. Or at least I was, until I became a Real Estate Agent. I have since learned though, and anyone who knows me can attest to this, that not all sales people are pushy and annoying. I have learned that sales is a lot about building relationships, having your client’s interests at the top of your mind always, and working hard for your client!

Here’s the thing. It may feel intimidating to reach out and work with a licensed sales person, and yes I would love to sell you a house or sell your house for you. That’s always my goal. However, here is the most important thing you should remember. I work for YOU! I will have your back throughout the entire process. I have an entire process and a large set of tools to help you out along that process! My job is to do all the heavy lifting for you and to get you the absolute best deal! And even better? About Me

I am a full time real estate agent in the Kansas City Metro and surrounding areas of Missouri. I specialize in Residential Resale, New Construction, and Land Properties.

I was born and raised in Independence, MO. My family and I have lived in Blue Springs for the past 6 years now, but we have also lived in Grain Valley, Lees Summit/Greenwood, Independence, and Oak Grove over the course of our lives. I am a dedicated dad of 2, and devoted husband of 11 years. I have a daughter who will be 10 this year and a son who will be 3 this year. When I’m not helping my clients, I’m involved with my daughter’s school activities, Girl Scouts, and playing with trains and Hot Wheels with my son. I enjoy being outside when I can, and I love hanging out with my family and friends. I am also a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals!

I am a very social person so I absolutely love working with people! I am also very passionate about quality customer service. I have essentially helped people, in some form, ever since high school when I started working at QuikTrip. Since then, I have also worked in the finance and technology industries as well. Everywhere I have worked though, and no matter what my role with the company was, I have always felt like my job is customer service with a touch of whatever industry I was in.
